I love it when these guys talk about me.
The conversation about whether to have a resume was taken up by Neville Hobson and Shel Holtz recently on their popular podcast For Immediate Release. They discuss Seth Godin's perspective as a potential future state versus the reality of here and now. These guys always have something interesting to say (and not just because I happen to agree with everything they say on this topic). They make some good points that I won't recount here....just go listen for yourself.
If you want to hear the segment, access their podcast (which is always quite good if you want to listen through) and forward to 42:20.
Well, even though I think Seth is wrong, it's always flattering to be mentioned in the same sentence. I'm thinking of shaving my head and taking my act on the road (OK, not really...I'm thinking of trademarking the red hair; Loreal may have already done that). And of course I like the part where Shel says my blog is one of his favorites. Really? I choose to believe you! :)

Glad you enjoyed the show, Heather! One of our listeners has taken this topic to another level - take a look at what Max Hansen has to say on his Alpha Mind blog: http://tinyurl.com/5cgf3d I'll be mentioning Max' "conversation extension" in today's show.Anonymous

Yep, I saw that. That's how I knew I was mentioned on FIR :) You and Shel said a bunch of stuff I wish I had said; especially that part about where, if a recruiter asks for your resume and you say no, then game over. I totally agree that people should do all those things that Seth mentioned, but also have a resume.
