Option to use CRM forms in Outlook

I wanted to write a quick post to clarify a setting in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM outlook client.  Once you install the Outlook client you can set a number of personal options (Image 2) by clicking on CRM in the Outlook menu bar and selecting Options (Image 1).

On the General tab, under Select which forms to use you can choose to use CRM forms for Appointments, Contacts, Tasks and E-mails in lieu of the Outlook forms.  This can be particularly useful if you have added custom fields to these CRM forms as the custom fields do not show up on the Outlook forms.  This does not apply to the core Outlook Appointment, Contact, Task and E-mail forms but rather Appointments, Contacts, Tasks and E-mails created using the CRM toolbar in the Outlook client.  When you install the Outlook client these checkboxes are unchecked by default.  For instance if I select New Activity > Appointment (Image 3) from the CRM toolbar the standard Outlook Appointment form will open (Image 4).

If I select the checkbox for Appointment (Image 2)then the CRM Appointment form will open in lieu of the Outlook Appointment form.

Hi, I am having some issues with Dynamics 4.0. I don't know if it is the default functionality or if I don't have something in particular set up. So. When I create an appointment in CRM the Required Attendee's (accounts) do not get an invitation to the meeting. With outlook integration, if I create an appointment from the New Activity menu, as you have described above, when the default outlook appointment form is used then the required attendee receives an invitation, if I select in the user options to use the CRM form then the user doesn't received an invitation. This is very confusing as I thought crm appointments would work the same way as outlook appointments in every case.
