ADNUG/MSDN ASP.NET Dynamic Data Controls (Oryx) this Thursday (Aug 2nd, 2007)
Hi there, hoping you can make it along to this months ADNUG/MSDN Lunchtime Update, the session is a pre run of my TechEd Oz session and looks at rapid database centric web development with ASP.NET and the up and coming ASP.NET Dynamic Data Controls.
Some of you may know this technology by it's project name "Oryx", it's named after this cute fellow https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oryx.
The technology is very cool, maybe even automagic and it'll make web dev more productive. I'll be showing you stuff that is a little ahead of what is available in the July download at ASP.NET Futures, see https://forums.asp.net/t/1139209.aspx, so this will be a great opportunity to understand the project direction...
Logistics
Where: Westpac House (old Santos), 91 King William Street, Adelaide SA 5000
When: Thursday, Aug 2nd, 2007, Bite to eat at 12 midday
Session start time: 12:30 for about 1 hour
Session Description:
ASP.NET dynamic data controls are part of a powerful, rich new framework that lets you create data driven ASP.NET applications extremely easily. ASP.NET dynamic data controls do this by automatically discovering the schema at runtime, deriving behaviour from the database and finally creating an ASP.NET page. Anything that can be inferred from the schema works with almost no user effort.
Cheers and see you there, Dave
PS. Peter Griffith will be send out a meeting notice, but if you are not on that mailer then rock on up anyway!!
