Using CleanMOM.exe against multiple Agents at once.
If you've ever had a need to run the CleanMOM.exe utility against several System Center Operations Manager 2007 Agents at once, you've probably been asked "Isn't there an easier way to do this?"
Of course there is the Uninstall-Agent powershell cmd-let. But that too can be awkward when trying to target a large set of specific servers that aren't based on a Computer Group.
A friend and colleague of mine has written an excellent script that you can run against many Agents at once. The script begins by pinging the Agent to ensure that it is online and reachable across the network. The script also copies the cleanmom utility to the Agent, and removes it once the Agent is uninstalled.
In situations where a large number of Agents need to be removed, and you can't target all Agents or a specific Computer Group, this tool comes in very useful.
