Windows Azure Media Services Lab, Nov 20th – 22nd 2012, Reading – Open for invites
Windows Azure Media Services in an exciting new platform that offers the flexibility, scalability and reliability of a cloud platform to handle high quality media experiences for a global audience. Media Services includes cloud-based versions of many existing technologies from the Microsoft Media Platform and our media partners, including ingest, encoding, format conversion, content protection and both on-demand and live streaming capabilities. Whether enhancing existing solutions or creating new workflows, you can easily combine and manage Media Services to create custom workflows that fit every need.
To help customers and partners more fully evaluate this new platform, we are offering a limited number of free hands on-labs to help people through this process. These three day “accelerator labs” are designed to help in the evaluation and testing of this platform, by giving them real world hands-on experience loading, processing and managing media. For the current labs, the focus will be video on demand scenarios. Typical scenarios could include (but not limited to) companies with existing content management systems who want to extend for media, who already have transcoding pipelines and want to save money, or want large scale, batch mode re transcoding of existing digital assets, etc.
