A Quick Plug for TechEd Developers, Nov 2006, Barcelona

I just wanted to give a little plug for the upcoming TechEd Developer event in November in Barcelona. If you have attended any of the previous TechEds in Europe, you will know what great events they are - lots of speaker sessions, ask the expert areas, the opportunity to do a little social networking, and of course, to have some fun.

Its back in Barcelona, but this time at a new venue closer to the centre of town, by the waterfront. This year, for thr first time, there is now a separate TechEd Developer and TechEd IT Forum event, so the developer event will be 100% developer and architect focused, which I think will go down really well with attendees.

I'll be presenting at the event, for the 11th year running (that's how much I love TechEd!) My session is "OFF202 Windows SharePoint Services v3 and Office SharePoint Servers 2007 as Development Platform", and the abstract is “7 Reasons why Developers Will Love SharePoint. Based on ASP.NET 2.0, SharePoint v3 and Office SharePoint Server 2007 are a great platform for developing a wide range of solutions. This session explores the overall architecture of SharePoint v3 and Office SharePoint Servers 2007, and covers 7 reasons why developers should be looking at SharePoint, including Web Parts, Workflow, Excel Services, Business Data Catalog, etc. "  

I'll also be involved in something new for this year - Speaker Idol - which should be a lot of fun. Check out the site if you fancy the idea of presenting at next year's TechEd.
