Updated Tech Ed sessions and more background...
I've spent today tidying up the Tech Ed speaker and session list - if you are attending Tech Ed you should already have a login to Comnet. If you do - you should see a lot more sessions published now complete with abstracts. Pretty much all the sessions should now be visible to add to your schedule and there are some very good sessions and speakers there.
All the best speakers.
This year we have a heap of speakers from the US. We actually aimed to have 80% of the sessions filled by US speakers - this is not an easy target to reach - and we didn't quite reach it, but we were very close. This means that you'll be able to ask those deep technical questions you want to ask of the people who are building the products.
The other spin off this has made is that it has meant that the number of open speaking slots for local speakers is considerably less this year than in previous years. This is one reason why we didn't do a call for papers this year. It also means that the local speakers that are speaking are truly the best of the best local speakers - most of them are MVP's with one or two who are not but who have considerable depth in their particular topic.
Lunchtime sessions.
We've also got lots of lunchtime sessions - we are running four lunchtime sessions every day - these sessions are 30 minute rapid fire sessions covering a range of interesting topics from Spatial data in SQL Server 2008 to Certification and a heap of things in between. Sessions include enterprise mobility, enterprise project management, enterprise desktop management and getting into BackgroundMotion.
Hopefully this will all mean that Tech Ed will be one of the highlights of your year!

Darryl, this may be outside your bailiwick, do you know how this works with corporate registrations? I am individually registered within our corporate reg, but when I try to obtain a Commnet login using my registration email address or "personal ID" it just says "Account not found."Anonymous
