https://mscommunities.net.nz - all NZ communities under one roof

https://msdntnarchive.z22.web.core.windows.net/media/TNBlogsFS/BlogFileStorage/blogs_msdn/darrylburling/WindowsLiveWriter/TechEdKeynoteandmarketplace_F7EF/TechEd07%20067.jpgOne of the things we launched at Tech Ed (the card on the left that Louie is holding) is https://mscommunities.net.nz.  This site is designed to be a centralized site for all the Microsoft Communities in New Zealand.  This includes developer, infrastructure and designer (thanks to Nas the ZamDes lead for the site design!).

If you don't know what communities are in New Zealand, then you should take a look.  For example in Wellington we have a Sharepoint user group, SQL user group, Designer user group, .Net user group and more.

The site is designed to help you connect with these communities.  As such you can browse through the towns in New Zealand and see what user groups are there, visit their website (example), and then email the leader of the user group and ask to be  put on the mailing list or get more information.

If you find that there is not a community in your area (either geographically or interests), you can have a quick look at the quick checklist and if you are even interested in helping start one, use the contact form and let us know that you want to start a community.  I'll help you get going, giving you some guidance and support and connecting you to all the right people along the way.

What are you waiting for? Get involved in a community (or start one) today!

Thanks Sergei, I've fixed the site.  I'll contact you direct about your community idea :-)
