Reason #1 I'm glad I didn't go to Carnegie Mellon

The fact that they advocate something called The Cyrus Murder. From the page notes: Note that Cyrus Murder is still relatively young in the grand scheme of things. I would appreciate it if we all worked hard together to make Cyrus Murder non-existent in the grand scheme of things, thank you very much.

It's certainly the first time I've see a program with the option

 --enable-murder

on it. I prefer to create relatively well adjusted program, passing the occasional

 --enable-uber-pacifist

switch when the circumstances call for it.

This trumps my previous #1 reason for why I didn't go to CMU: the fact that it's in Pittsburg. Pittsburg bad... but not as much as Cyrus Murder I'm afraid.

'Pittsburgh' is spelled with an 'h' on the end, at least in the Pittsburgh I live in/near (which would be the one with CMU).

Pittsburgh not so bad. Not nearly as cool as my hometown of Louisville, but upriver from Cincinatti, which allows me to take some revenge for the two weeks every summer those chili festivals kept us out of the river.

...hmmm...now the real question is should we be afraid of CMU for this unusual policy or does CMU just know something about you that we don't! The picture of you on your blog site is pretty intimidating! Oh...wait....you're not the llama are you? I smell a conspiracy here...
