Ballad of Fallen Angels

My lucky night tonight. One of the best episodes of Cowboy Bebop is on (ok, that's unfair, they're all amazing). It's one of the few shows that I don't even mind being dubbed considering the excellent quality in both english and japanese. The haunting lyrics of 'Rain' and the lilting chorus of 'Green Bird' afterwards are definitely worth extending my bed time for. Looks like I'm going to have to start up an Anime night to introduce the unintiated to this amazing work.

Adult Swim, you rock. Now if you just pick up more shows like this and The Vision of Escaflowne, and less of Blue Gender, then you'll be the best station out there.

Edit: Trigun is showing "Goodbye for Now". Sigh... stay up... go sleep... stay up... go sleep... Such a tough call.

I recommend the Cowboy Bebop movie, if you are a fan of the show.

Also, FLCL and Big-O were two of the greatest shows ever shown on the channel (I went and bought the FLCL DVDs).

Absofrickenlutely. That's the series that really got me into Anime. "G force" back in the 70's primed my brain to handle people with skinny bodie, big heads, and REALLY big eyes. But BeBop , along with 3x3 eyes, cemented it. Even the repeats are facsinating. I'm about 1/2 way through the "Blue Gender" series via Netflix. Great stuff.

The first time I watched that ep, I knew this series was special.

Brian: Cowboy Bebop is exactly the role model I would like to have for my kids. You should try it :-)

Nich: Was FLCL only like 6 episodes. I was considering getting the DVDs, but too expensive for that few episodes.

Scott: BG needs to be taken outside and shot. Boooooooooring. Been there, done that. Check out some of the great Dark Horse stories about the 'Alien' saga for some brilliant writers investigating the interplay of an alien scourge with mankind's stupidity and greed.
