Well I installed SP3 for Windows XP on to our test PC and I will admit that the install went smoothly. At the end of the install is were things started to go wrong. We started to notice that it was taking a long time to open programs, it was taking a long time to save a Word document. Well to cut a long story short, after three days we uninstalled SP3 and the PC started running as it should. Just so you know, the PC is a 2GHz with 768MB of menory, more than enough for Windows XP SP2.
