How can I trust Firefox?

With all the hoopla going on around the browser wars starting again and how IE is dead etc... i thought this post was really well written and clear. Its shows the issues, the reasons and the implications of some poor design decisions.

I personally think that there is a movement towards Firefox  just because it is not IE... a pretty poor decision if that is your only cirteria.

Have a read ... it scares me to even think that the "new" "cool" browser on the block suffers from many of the same problems that IE originally had pre-XP SP2. eeek.

    It shouldnt be long now, before sites starting popping up ".xpi" install prompts, and clueless people clicking on "OK". Its a whole new bonanza for spyware makers.
