What is the difference between WSS3 and MOSS2007? During the BETA, I installed WSS3 on top of my MOSS2007 B2 TR and all heck broke loose. When would I install WSS3 rather than MOSS2007. I've been searching the blogs and product site but can't seem to find a citation that give a clear understanding of the differencesAnonymous

First up ... MOSS is an application that is built on top of WSS. So if you have MOSS installed there is no need to install WSS ... as that has already been done. MOSS adds a lot more funcationality on top of WSS. Also WSS does not cost you on top of your Windows Server 2003 licence ... whereas MOSS does. WSS Overview: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/windowsserver/sharepoint/techinfo/overview.mspx MOSS Overview: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointserver/HA101656531033.aspx I hope this clears things up.
