The Lone Server

A little levity for your Friday morning...

What might it be like to be the lone Windows 2003 server left in the Microsoft web server farm now that all the other servers have been upgraded to Windows 2008?

The Windows Server team has put up a humourous posting and video of the life of that lone server. You can view the short video below (1:58) or read the entire post at https://blogs.technet.com/windowsserver/pages/about-lone-server.aspx.

Enjoy!

Hi Sean, I actually hadn't tried viewing the blogs on my mobile - you can read it but it's not great, is it? Unfortunately we don't have a mobile option at this time, but I'll make that suggestion the next time we are looking to revamp the sites. Don't worry - you're still a very funny guy (for anyone reading this that doesn't know Sean, check out the Friday Funnies over on the Canadian IT Pro blog at http://blogs.technet.com/canitpro/archive/tags/Funnies/default.aspx).

That would be a neat option.  I'm going with Rick's less "Bandwidth" intensive idea and putting a Newsreader on the phone... :) Something about my first day of data costing $65... B) Granted it WAS a billing glitch but BOY did it raise eyebrows at work "Just WHAT did you do on your phone that first day?!"

Great.   And now more prompting from the Managers... After that "Highway to PowersHell" song I've been dodging groupies all day long. RULE 1:  DO NOT ENCOURAGE SEAN. RULE 2:  WHEN IN DOUBT FOLLOW RULE ONE
