Boston MTC Hosts Year Up Students

This week, the Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) in Kendall Square hosted 100 students from local non-profit Year Up.

Year Up is an organization working to close the opportunity divide in Boston through education and corporate internships. Microsoft has partnered with Year Up Boston, as well as nationally, to promote careers in technology for youth.

While at the MTC, students had a full day of sessions that included learning about Microsoft’s latest technology, an introduction to coding, and careers in technology. 

They were also able to explore the Kinect – using it for gaming and learning about the Kinect’s role in business and healthcare.

The day closed out with an overview of Microsoft’s YouthSpark program and a video about the future of technology.
