Why Kloud has the global edge by winning a Microsoft Partner of the Year Award at Inspire.

Last year Kloud Solutions, now a subsidiary of Telstra, picked up the Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Partner of the Year award. They have entered the awards for the last three years running winning the Cloud Productivity category and being nominated as finalists in the Enterprise Mobility category in 2015.

The submission process was made easier for the team at Kloud by gathering case studies and references throughout the year. National Sales Lead Damian Coyne says that for any organisation looking to win an award, relationship selling and what you are positioning to the customers is hugely important. “You have to promote the fact that you are trying to become a great partner, and you have to have that conversation early and on the way in,” Damian said.

Kloud’s National Marketing Manager, Eloise Skella said that a unique story is important for a winning submission. “We are lucky that we work with so many different customers and a lot of great projects and for us it is about finding that unique story that really encapsulates a great challenge as well as a great solution and how we delivered it,” Eloise said.

For Telstra’s Kloud Solutions, winning the award means a lot for the team. “When they are part of a team that is referenced that way, the award is recognition of their great work,” says Damian.

Winning the award also means that Kloud is recognised, not just at a local level for their capability but on a worldwide level. It very quickly changes the conversations with customers who are able to see that they have a large enterprise customer base. The award also brings recognition from within Microsoft. “Being seen as that worldwide leader we get cut through and awareness of Telstra’s capabilities in the wider Microsoft ecosystem,” adds Eloise. Like every winner Damian describes receiving the award as surreal, and an amazing opportunity to see the sheer number of people at Inspire, the number of emerging partners and the incredible case studies. “To win in that forum gives a huge amount of satisfaction as to what we have achieved,” he said.
