Cross dock products from receiving warehouse to stores

Completed

Retail organizations might use cross-docking products, that is, distributing products from the receiving location of a purchase order to one or more stores. You can use configurations that make the system suggest how to distribute products, or you can manually specify where the products are distributed and how much of them are distributed to each store.

To cross dock on a purchase order, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the All purchase orders page and then select the purchase order that you want.
  2. On the Retail tab in the Action Pane, select the Cross docking button under the Functions group, which opens the Planned cross docking page.
  3. Select Edit in the Action Pane to add lines to a cross-docking record.
  4. On the Cross docking quantity field on the lines, specify how much of the quantity of a specified purchased product should be distributed.
  5. On the Additional cross docking quantity field, specify the quantities to be distributed for any available products that are being purchased.
  6. Specify a distribution field, such as Location weight, and then specify a replenishment hierarchy and whether you want to respect assortments or not.
  7. When you’re done making changes, select Calculate quantities, which shows the distribution of products.
  8. Select Create order when you’re ready to create the transfer order to the desired cross-docking locations.
