sysmail_help_queue_sp (Transact-SQL)

Applies to: SQL Server

There are two queues in Database Mail: the mail queue and status queue. The mail queue stores mail items that are waiting to be sent. The status queue stores the status of items that were already sent. This stored procedure allows viewing the state of the mail or status queues. If the parameter @queue_type isn't specified, the stored procedure returns one row for each of the queues.

Transact-SQL syntax conventions

Syntax

sysmail_help_queue_sp [ @queue_type = ] 'queue_type'
[ ; ]

Arguments

[ @queue_type = ] 'queue_type'

Optional argument deletes e-mails of the type specified as the @queue_type. @queue_type is nvarchar(6) with no default. Valid entries are mail and *status.

Return code values

0 (success) or 1 (failure).

Result set

Column name Data type Description
