Remarks
Updated text:5 December 2005
Updated sample code:5 December 2005
Each SubscriptionChronicle has a parent SubscriptionClass. You typically supply the parent object when you create the SubscriptionChronicle using the SubscriptionChronicle(SubscriptionClass,String) constructor.
If you set the parent in the constructor, do not set the parent using this property. Setting the parent twice throws an exception.
Example
The following examples show how to set the Parent property when using the default constructor to create a subscription chronicle and add it to a subscription class:
// Create a subscription chronicle and set properties.
SubscriptionChronicle sc1 = new SubscriptionChronicle();
sc1.Name = "FlightSubChronicle";
sc1.Parent = flightSubscriptions;
sc1.SqlStatements.Add("CREATE TABLE dbo.FlightSubChronicle " +
" (SubscriptionId bigint, LeavingFrom nvarchar(6), " +
" GoingTo nvarchar(6), Price float);");
sc1.SqlStatements.Add("CREATE INDEX FlightSubChronicleIndex " +
" ON dbo.FlightSubChronicle " +
" ( LeavingFrom, GoingTo );");
flightSubscriptions.SubscriptionChronicles.Add(sc1);
' Create a subscription chronicle and set properties.
Dim sc1 As SubscriptionChronicle = New SubscriptionChronicle()
sc1.Name = "FlightSubChronicle"
sc1.Parent = flightSubscriptions
sc1.SqlStatements.Add("CREATE TABLE dbo.FlightSubChronicle " + _
" (SubscriptionId bigint, LeavingFrom nvarchar(6), " + _
" GoingTo nvarchar(6), Price float);")
sc1.SqlStatements.Add("CREATE INDEX FlightSubChronicleIndex " + _
" ON dbo.FlightSubChronicle " + _
" ( LeavingFrom, GoingTo );")
flightSubscriptions.SubscriptionChronicles.Add(sc1)
