Connection (Connection Manager Dialog Box) (SSAS)
Use the Connection page of the Connection Manager dialog box in Business Intelligence Development Studio to modify the connection string properties that are necessary to create a connection using the specified provider.

Select the Microsoft .NET Framework or native OLE DB provider to use for the connection.
Property pane
Sets the provider-specific connection string properties necessary to create a connection.

Note:
The connection string properties displayed in the property pane depend on the provider selected in Provider. For more information about the properties displayed in the property pane, see the provider documentation.
Test connection
Uses the current settings in the property pane to try to establish a connection and display whether the attempt succeeded.
