How to: Delete XML Indexes (Visual Database Tools)

Delete an XML index when it is no longer needed.

To delete XML Indexes

In Object Explorer, right-click the table with the XML index you want to delete and click Design (Modify in SP1 or earlier).

The table opens in Table Designer.
From the Table Designer menu, click XML Index.

The XML Index dialog box opens.
Click the index you want to delete in the Selected XML Index column.
Click Delete.
