SubscriptionBackupInformation.SecureMediaPassword Property

Gets or sets the password (as a SecureString object) required to access the media set on the backup device.

Property Value

A SecureString object.

Remarks

The SecureMediaPassword property provides additional security for the password while it is stored in memory, and should be used instead of MediaPassword.

When possible, prompt users to enter security credentials at runtime. If you must store credentials, use the cryptographic services provided by the Microsoft Windows .NET Framework.

This property can be accessed by any user.

This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 2.0 of the .NET Framework.

Any public static (Shared in Microsoft Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
