PublisherConnectionSecurityContext.SecureSqlStandardPassword Property

Sets the password (as a SecureString object) for the SqlStandardLogin when using SQL Server Authentication.

Property Value

A SecureString object.

Remarks

The SecureSqlStandardPassword property provides additional security for the password while it is stored in memory and should be used instead of SqlStandardPassword.

When possible, prompt users to enter security credentials at run time. If you must store credentials, use the cryptographic services provided by the Microsoft Windows .NET Framework.

This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 2.0 of the .NET Framework.
