Publication.SnapshotGenerationAgentProcessSecurity Property

Gets an object that sets the Windows account under which the Snapshot Agent job runs.

Namespace: Microsoft.SqlServer.Replication
Assembly: Microsoft.SqlServer.Rmo (in microsoft.sqlserver.rmo.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Public ReadOnly Property SnapshotGenerationAgentProcessSecurity As IProcessSecurityContext
public IProcessSecurityContext SnapshotGenerationAgentProcessSecurity { get; }
public:
property IProcessSecurityContext^ SnapshotGenerationAgentProcessSecurity {
    IProcessSecurityContext^ get ();
}
/** @property */
public IProcessSecurityContext get_SnapshotGenerationAgentProcessSecurity ()
public function get SnapshotGenerationAgentProcessSecurity () : IProcessSecurityContext

Property Value

An IProcessSecurityContext object.

Remarks

SnapshotGenerationAgentProcessSecurity is a read-only property. You must set the agent security context using the properties of the returned IProcessSecurityContext object. For information about the connections that agents make and the permissions that are required for those connections, see Replication Agent Security Model.

The SnapshotGenerationAgentProcessSecurity property can only be retrieved by members of the sysadmin fixed server role at the Publisher or by members of the db_owner fixed database role on the publication database.

Properties of the returned IProcessSecurityContext object can only be set by members of the sysadmin fixed server role at the Publisher or by members of the db_owner fixed database role on the publication database.

Retrieving the SnapshotGenerationAgentProcessSecurity property is equivalent to executing sp_helppublication_snapshot (Transact-SQL).

Setting properties of the returned IProcessSecurityContext object is equivalent to executing sp_addpublication_snapshot (Transact-SQL) and sp_changepublication_snapshot (Transact-SQL).

The SnapshotGenerationAgentProcessSecurity property is only available with SQL Server 2005.
