TransSynchronizationAgent.DistributorAddress Property

Gets or sets the network address that is used to connect to the Distributor when the DistributorNetwork property is specified.

Namespace: Microsoft.SqlServer.Replication
Assembly: Microsoft.SqlServer.Replication (in microsoft.sqlserver.replication.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Public Overridable Property DistributorAddress As String
public virtual string DistributorAddress { get; set; }
public:
virtual property String^ DistributorAddress {
    String^ get ();
    void set (String^ newValue);
}
/** @property */
public String get_DistributorAddress ()

/** @property */
public void set_DistributorAddress (String newValue)
public function get DistributorAddress () : String

public function set DistributorAddress (newValue : String)

Property Value

A String value representing the Distributor address.

Remarks

This property is required only when the DistributorNetwork property is set to a value other than DefaultNetwork.

This property is useful when you are configuring the control to connect to the Distributor without having to use SQL Server Configuration Manager.

For example, if the Distributor is accessed over the Internet, DistributorNetwork can be set to TcpIpSockets and DistributorAddress can be set to a specific IP address.

If the DistributorNetwork property is TcpIpSockets or MultiProtocol by using TCP/IP, the value is in the form of 'IP address,socket' (such as '111.11.11.11,1433').

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Microsoft Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
