Default2 Object

This feature will be removed in a future version of Microsoft SQL Server. Avoid using this feature in new development work, and plan to modify applications that currently use this feature.

The Default object represents the attributes of a single default in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and later. SQL Server defaults provide data to columns and user-defined data types when no other data is available on an INSERT statement execution. The Default2 object extends the functionality of the Default object.

The IsDeleted property of the Default2 object may not be compatible with SQL Server 7.0 or earlier. For more information about using the Default2 object in an application that also runs with SQL Server version 7.0, refer to the Remarks section for the IsDeleted property.
