Security Application Block Performance Counters

The following table describes the Security Application Block performance counters.

Performance counter name	Description
Authorization Requests Denied/sec	The rate at which authorization requests were denied.
Authorization Requests/sec	The rate at which authorization requests were received.
Security Cache Reads/sec	The rate at which security cache reads were requested.
Total Authorization Requests	The total number of authorization requests received.
Total Authorization Requests Denied	The total number of authorization requests denied.
Total Security Cache Reads	The total number of security cache reads requested.

A rate counter samples an increasing count of events over time and divides the values by the change in time to display a rate of activity. For more information about performance counters, see Overview of Performance Monitoring in the .NET Framework Class Library on MSDN.
