How to Set Authorization Roles for the Commerce Server Health Monitoring Service

For the latest version of Commerce Server 2007 Help, see the Microsoft Web site.

The Commerce Server Health Monitor is a local service that monitors the Commerce Server Web services that are defined on the computer. For the Commerce Server Health Monitor service to monitor the Commerce Server Web services, you must grant the CSHealthMonitorSvc service account viewer access in the authorization stores.

You must install Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 and the Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 MOM Pack to use the Commerce Server Health Monitor.

The following procedure describes how to add the CSHealthMonitorSvc service account to the viewer authorization roles for each Web service. Perform this procedure on the computer where the Commerce Server Web services are run, in the production environment that you are monitoring.

  4. In the Select Users, Computers, or Groups dialog box, in the Enter the object names to select box, type the name of the Commerce Server Health Monitor user account (for example, CSHealthMonitorSvc). Click OK.
