IMSCSAuthManager2::GetProperty Method

Use this method to retrieve the value of the specified custom property from the current user ticket.

Parameters

  • enumTicketType
    [C++]

    [in] An EnumMSCS_TicketType that indicates the type of ticket that contains the property.

    [Visual Basic]

    [in] An EnumMSCS_TicketType that indicates the type of ticket that contains the property.

  • propName
    [C++]

    [in] A BSTR that contains the name of the property to retrieve.

    [Visual Basic]

    [in] A String that contains the name of the property to retrieve.

  • pVarCustomPropVal
    [C++]

    [out, retval] A pointer to a VARIANT containing a BSTR with the value for the specified property in the current user ticket. If the property is not found, the pointer is set to NULL.

    Not applicable.

Return Value

[C++] This method returns an HRESULT indicating whether it completed successfully. See the Error Values section for more details.

[Visual Basic] If this method completes successfully, it returns a Variant that contains the value for the specified property in the current user ticket. If the property is not found, the returned Variant is empty.

Error Values

[C++] This method returns S_OK (0x00000000) to indicate success and standard COM HRESULT error values to indicate failure. For more information about standard COM errors, see Standard COM Errors.

[Visual Basic] This method sets the Number property of the global Err object to S_OK (&H00000000) to indicate success and to standard COM error values to indicate failure. For more information about standard COM errors, see Standard COM Errors.
