To do this |
---|---|
New Log Time Period |
Specify how long the Internet Information Services (IIS) Web site writes to a log file before it creates a new file. This value is first read from IIS.
Note:
When the Web servers in this application are running the IIS option is selected on the General tab of the <Application> Properties dialog box, you can only use the New Log Time Period or Log file mask property; you cannot use both properties.
|
Log file mask |
Specify a custom log file rotation that defines how long the IIS Web site writes to a log file before it creates a new file. |
Log file directory |
Type the log file path of which the IIS Web site writes events, for example, C:\Winnt\System32\LogFiles\Log1. This value is first read from IIS. However, you may want to specify a different directory if you copy the Web log files from the Web server to a central location before you run the Web server log import DTS task.
Note:
If the Synchronize the log file name and location option on the Web Servers tab of the <Application> Properties dialog box is selected, the value in the Log file directory field is overwritten with the value in IIS.
