RetryLater (NotPrimary)
This section describes the DataCacheException exception that has an error code of RetryLater and a substatus of NotPrimary. This error represents a temporary condition when the application attempts to access cached data on a cache host that is not the primary location of that cached data.
This error can occur during reconfiguration scenarios on the cache cluster. For example, consider a scenario where there are three cache hosts on the cache cluster. If a cache uses the high availability feature, there is a primary cache host for that cache and a secondary cache host that stores a copy of the cached data. If the primary cache host goes down, then the secondary cache host becomes the primary cache host. During the reconfiguration, an application can receive this error. This error can also occur in scenarios that do not involve high availability. For example, just rebooting one of the cache hosts can cause applications to intermittently get this error. For more information, see Patching Issues.
