Reimage Compute Nodes
You can take a node offline and reimage that node using the node template that was originally used to deploy it.
Important
You can only reimage nodes that were deployed using a node template that includes a step to deploy an operating system image. Reimaging a node is the same as deploying a node from bare metal. For more information, see Deploy Nodes from Bare Metal.
To reimage one or more compute nodes
In Node Management, in the Navigation Pane, click Nodes.
In the List or Heat Map view, select one or more nodes.
Right-click your selection, then click Take Offline.
After the nodes have been taken offline, right-click your selection again, and then click Reimage.
When prompted, click Yes to confirm that you want to reimage the nodes. The compute nodes will change state from Offline to Provisioning.
If you want to track the provisioning progress, select a node, and then in the Details Pane click the Provisioning Log tab.
After the reimaging process has completed, the compute nodes will change state from Provisioning to Offline. To bring the nodes online, select the nodes, right-click, and then click Bring Online.
Note
If there were errors during reimaging, the node state of that node is set to Unknown and the node health is set to Unapproved. To determine the reason of the failure, review the provisioning log for that node.
