APIs under the /beta version in Microsoft Graph are subject to change. Use of these APIs in production applications is not supported. To determine whether an API is available in v1.0, use the Version selector.
Create a new table. The range source address determines the worksheet under which the table will be added. If the table can't be added (for example, because the address is invalid, or the table would overlap with another table), an error is thrown.
This request might occasionally receive a 504 HTTP error. The appropriate response to this error is to repeat the request.
Permissions
Choose the permission or permissions marked as least privileged for this API. Use a higher privileged permission or permissions only if your app requires it. For details about delegated and application permissions, see Permission types. To learn more about these permissions, see the permissions reference.

HTTP request
POST /me/drive/items/{id}/workbook/tables/add
POST /me/drive/root:/{item-path}:/workbook/tables/add
POST /me/drive/items/{id}/workbook/worksheets/{id|name}/tables/add
POST /me/drive/root:/{item-path}:/workbook/worksheets/{id|name}/tables/add
Workbook session ID that determines if changes are persisted or not. Optional.
Request body
In the request body, provide a JSON object with the following parameters.
Parameter
Type
Description
address
string
Address or name of the range object representing the data source. If the address doesn't contain a sheet name, the currently active sheet is used.
hasHeaders
Boolean
Boolean value that indicates whether the data being imported has column labels. If the source doesn't contain headers (when this property set to false), Excel will automatically generate header shifting the data down by one row.
Response
If successful, this method returns 200 OK response code and workbookTable object in the response body.
