Examples

The following example lists information about the Win32_OperatingSystem class using the PropertyData class. For more information about Win32_OperatingSystem, see the Windows Management Instrumentation documentation.

using System;
using System.Management;

public class Sample
{
    public static void Main()
    {

        // Get the WMI class
        ManagementClass osClass =
            new ManagementClass("Win32_OperatingSystem");

        osClass.Options.UseAmendedQualifiers = true;

        // Get the Properties in the class
        PropertyDataCollection properties =
            osClass.Properties;

        // display the Property names
        Console.WriteLine("Property Name: ");

Properties

Count

Gets the number of objects in the PropertyDataCollection.

IsSynchronized

Gets a value indicating whether the object is synchronized.

Item[String]

Gets the specified property from the PropertyDataCollection, using [] syntax. This property is the indexer for the PropertyDataCollection class.

SyncRoot

Gets the object to be used for synchronization.

Methods

Adds a new PropertyData with no assigned value.

Add(String, Object, CimType)

Adds a new PropertyData with the specified value and Common Information Model (CIM) type.

Add(String, Object)

Adds a new PropertyData with the specified value. The value cannot be null and must be convertible to a Common Information Model (CIM) type.

CopyTo(Array, Int32)

Copies the PropertyDataCollection into an array.

CopyTo(PropertyData[], Int32)

Copies the PropertyDataCollection to a specialized PropertyData object array.

Equals(Object)

Determines whether the specified object is equal to the current object.

(Inherited from Object)
GetEnumerator()

Returns the enumerator for this PropertyDataCollection.

GetHashCode()

Serves as the default hash function.

(Inherited from Object)
GetType()

Gets the Type of the current instance.

(Inherited from Object)
MemberwiseClone()

Creates a shallow copy of the current Object.

(Inherited from Object)
Remove(String)

Removes a PropertyData from the PropertyDataCollection.

ToString()

Returns a string that represents the current object.

(Inherited from Object)

Explicit Interface Implementations

IEnumerable.GetEnumerator()

Returns an IEnumerator that iterates through the PropertyDataCollection.

Extension Methods

Cast<TResult>(IEnumerable)

Casts the elements of an IEnumerable to the specified type.

OfType<TResult>(IEnumerable)

Filters the elements of an IEnumerable based on a specified type.

AsParallel(IEnumerable)

Enables parallelization of a query.

AsQueryable(IEnumerable)

Converts an IEnumerable to an IQueryable.
