Generate new ideas using SCAMPER techniques

The SCAMPER system was developed by Bob Eberle which we can use to brainstorm new ideas and being creative. It's acronym of seven letters described below with examples on house improvement.

Technique	Example of questions to use	Example for house improvement
Substitute	Can I replace with something better?	Replace current windows with high insulation ones
Combine	Can I add something to create something new?	Add landscaping and beautiful plants
Adapt	Can I take another solution and adapt it?	Paint the house with the same nice color as neighbor’s
Modify	Can I change existing solution to make it better?	Change house cleaning schedule to be more frequent
Put to another use	Can I use existing solution for different problem?	Use the house as the place for family monthly gathering
Eliminate	Will remove something streamline my problem?	Remove some weeds or sick trees around the house
Rearrange	Can I rearrange existing concept?	Rearrange the interior furniture to make things accessible
