July CTP Released to the Web
Things have been a little slow here on the blog as we focus all of our attention on finishing up the reference documentation for the RC1 release of the SDK. In the meantime, the July CTP release of the Windows SDK and .NET Framework 3.0 are live on the web at these URLs:
.NET Framework 3.0:
Windows SDK:
The online documentation at https://windowssdk.msdn.microsoft.com will not be refreshed with this material -- we're waiting until our RC1 release to refresh the online site.
Please note that these builds are not compatible with Vista Beta2 -- but they are compatible with the Vista July EDW build (5472) that's already been released.
Have fun -- and as always, post comments, feedback or questions as appropriate, esp. with regard to your experience using the SDK.

Hi, I've download the July CTP. Three downloads as described on netfx3.com (http://www.netfx3.com/blogs/news_and_announcements/archive/2006/07/17/4488.aspx).
I try to build the WPF samples but VS tells me I'm missing a package. But when I try to install the VS "Orcas" it does not recognize the july CTP version of the .NET framework and it won't install.
Is there a table or something that can tell me what I need for each version of .NET 3.0 and the (VS) tools?
Thanx
