In addition to the info they provide I wish they would list the RAPI security configuration. - Anonymous

Followup: As I've now spent all night rebuilding my mail server, I've discovered that Pocket Outlook for some reason wants to authenticate in plaintext (using AUTH LOGIN) and then call STARTTLS. Can we get a toggle here to switch these around? It makes almost no sense this way, my mail server won't even allow SMTP AUTH in a plaintext mode unless STARTTLS has already been called, and I'm sure there's many others that work similarly. - Anonymous

I had exactly the same problem as described above. In the end I solved it by running a second copy of the server daemon (exim) on port 465 set to start TLS immediately on connect. It took a few goes as many of the options didn't work as described. I didn't need to rebuild anything though. Good luck. - Anonymous

Has this been fixed yet - is there a more useful work around to make pocket outlook do the thing desktop outlook seems to manage without problem? - Anonymous

Ah, I just got the Verizon SCH-i730. Is this SMTP AUTH debacle a Microsoft Mobile 2003 issue/bug/oversight or something Verizon asked for to frustrate users that invest $500 on a phone? :)
