    I wonder when Magneto/Windows Mobile 2005 will be announced and released.

    Rumours say the release is near, but since there is absolutely no official information about the new version from Microsoft this can't be true, can it?

    As a developer I find this strange.

    Visual Studio 2005 is required to develop for the new version but the beta versions still only includes WM2003 SE. I hope VS2005 beta 2 will include Magneto emulator images.

    It's strange that Microsoft for once is not informing developers about a new OS version that is expected to be released soon.

    Magneto must be the best kept secret of all times at Microsoft... :-)

    I doubt you'll find a beta of magneto in any 2005 beta images.

    As for when it's going to be announced, i can't say. but there are some interesting sessions at medc:

    It looks like, for the first time, I will be totally unprepared when a new version of the OS is released.

    There is still no official beta for developers (like me) to test.
