Changes coming soon to the MPN for IoT partners

The Internet of Things (IoT) represents a huge opportunity for Microsoft’s partners, and we’re committed to helping them realize value from IoT by creating intelligent systems solutions for their customers. Now, we’re updating the Intelligent Systems competency released earlier this year to make it even better for our partners.

The Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) periodically makes updates to the program to align to changes in the industry, and on Sept. 29, MPN will implement a series of changes across Microsoft Competencies and Action Pack subscription offerings, including the following changes to the Intelligent Systems competency:

  • New qualifying exams and business assessments at the Silver and Gold levels
  • Retirement of the Revenue Commitment requirement at the Gold level
  • Additional technical and support benefits added to the core competency benefits package
  • Reduced competency fees

If you are currently enrolled in the Intelligent Systems competency, or are making progress toward attaining it, review the MPN Program Changes for Intelligent Systems Competency Partners for specifics.

In addition, MPN has created three brand-new Cloud Performance competencies. Partners looking for a detailed guide to the changes that will be implemented should refer to the Microsoft Partner Network Disclosure Guide.
