Wiki Life: How to Report Spam and Pirated/Plagiarized Content
Dear All,
Welcome to TechNet Wiki Life:
It is our responsibility to keep our TechNet Wiki clean and neat. Yes! This means that whenever we find any Spam or Pirated/Plagiarized article we need to act fast to clean it. If we find spam or pirate/plagiarism, then we should take immediate actions like deleting those articles from the TechNet Wiki in order to keep our TechNet always clean.
How to kill Spam Article
TechNet is open to all and here in TechNet we don’t have moderation for article publication which means whenever someone post articles it will be directly published. This is good for regular contributors and this is a big hole for the spammers as they always post spam articles in TechNet Wiki.
It is a responsibility for all of us for killing all the Spam articles immediately from the TechNet. I request all our TechNet members to immediately take action whenever you found spam articles in TechNet. Kindly follow the below methods to report the Spam articles in TechNet Wiki.
If you are unsure whether it is spam, report the article here . Make sure you link to the spam page.
If it's obviously a spam, you can help moderate it:
- Replace the title with "SPAM [Current Date]"
- Replace the content in the body with the word "Spam"
- Replace the tags with the following tags:
- Leave a comment on the main page: "NOTE: This article was reported as spam and will be removed. Please only post content on TechNet Wiki that is about Microsoft technologies."
The simple and easy method which I will follow to report spam article is, I will edit the tag of Spam Article and add “Spam” and “Candidate for Deletion” Tags.
