Wiki Life: Bing Search makes TechNet Wiki the authority

I was doing a random Bing Search for a book I'm working on that mentioned Power View (it's an Excel Business Intelligence book).

And that took me to this URL:

https://www.bing.com/search?q=power+view&src=IE-SearchBox&FORM=IESR02

It looks like this (click it to see it big):

PowerView_BingSearch

It's cool for a few reasons. First, it means that TechNet Wiki pops up as the official explanation/source, the way that a Dictionary.com definition would or a Wikipedia article would.

Second, it's cool to get two high results on TechNet Wiki just for typing in "Power View". That shows the power of TechNet Wiki's SEO and the value that search engines place on its content!

Remember to Wiki while you work (or afterward)!

Go Bing Go! Interestingly, when the Wiki started, we were picked up by Google searches right out of the gate!

Great to see that the TechNet WIKI rules the search engines :-)

There's more to that than you think. I've created Wiki articles multiple times just because the SEO is so strong! And then that Wiki article might link out to other articles that aren't getting as strong SEO.
