TNWiki Article Spotlight – List of forums by languages and categories
Welcome to another Tuesday TNWiki Article Spotlight.
Microsoft TechNet contains a vast trove of information for the developer and IT professional. Sometimes though this data can get buried and procedures within the website can be hard to use.
This lack of functionality was spotted by Ronen Ariely (pituach) and addressed when he created an award-winning article entitled List of forums by Languages, categories, and field of discussions for the TechNet Wiki.
In the post, Ronen states that “There is no home page where we can search for a specific forum or see the entire list of forums.” So, he took it upon himself to detail a small part of the TechNet Forums and has broken them up by category and language.
For example. English forums make up the majority of the article but there are also items in Czech, French, Hebrew, Italian, and German. There are many more that are not on the list (Ronen estimates that there may be several thousand forums) and the idea is to get it as complete as possible via continual updates.
If you ever wanted to know if a specific forum exists, start with this list. As well, if you do not see a forum you visit often on the list, add it.
This is definitely one page where the entire TechNet community can benefit.

Nice blog post Ken :)I agree with you. Ronen's this article is a one-stop place for finding all the forums. The part I liked is that members will get to know if there is any forum in their native language. So it will be easier for them to express the issue they are facing in their code.- Anonymous

This is probably the longest article in the TechNet WIKI :-)* I want to mentioned that most of the work done not by me, but by Sabah Shariq. I started the article and I entered something like 10% and than Sabah came, and for several days he added Several thousand more :-)- Anonymous

This is a great resource that's already getting good collaboration from others! Those make some of the best Wiki articles, where they organically and dynamically grow!
