Deploying Windows 10 just got easier!

Beginning with Version 1511 of Windows 10, you can now use your Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1 product keys to activate Windows 10 without doing an in place upgrade.  This will be a huge timesaver for partners deploying new images to their customers.  Originally, to take advantage of the free Windows 10 upgrade, you had to do an upgrade of an existing Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 installation.  This made deploying a new customer image more difficult since the typical image deployment plan is to wipe and reload the OS. 

Now with version 1511, you can build your standard image and leverage your existing Windows 7 & Windows 8.x keys to activate the installs.  The full details are here. 

You can download the Windows 10 bits, along with the download tool here.  The download tool helps you download the Windows 10 bits and build bootable USB or DVD installation media.

    Can a previously installed OEM/PKC Windows Office suite be re-installed on the new Windows 10 OS? We're essentially upgrading from Windows 7, 32b to Windows 10, 64b albeit with a clean Win10 install.
