Take Your Tech-Savvy Tot to an Event Near You

It seems that kids these days are born with one hand on a bottle and the other hand on a smart device.

If all of your most-used apps are Toddler Counting or Toddler Paint, Microsoft stores have a solution. Across the U.S., the stores are offering a fun way to integrate technology outside of the house with TechTotsevents perfect for your budding tech enthusiast.

The events include a variety of unique themes like “dance” – where your toddler can dance, sing and move to tunes, “pets” – where they play animal games and pet virtual animals, and “talent” – where they can put their stage-worthy skills on display.

During a recent TechTots Safari event in New York, TechMouse, an animated character that acts as a guide during TechTots events, led kids ages two-five on a virtual safari to learn about different animals. The mini mascot also took participants on a virtual tour of different continents to learn about habitats and animal behavior. And of course, no event is complete without snack time.

TechTots events occur regularly throughout the year. Find the store nearest you and register your tech-savvy tot today.

Have an older child? Microsoft has programs and safety tips for kids once they’re ready to venture online. A recent survey entitled “How Old is Too Young” asked at what age would consumers allow children unsupervised access to technologies such as mobile devices, social sites and online services. Check out the survey results here, they just might surprise you.
