Microsoft donates software for public schools and universities

In case you haven’t heard!

 

BOSTON --Microsoft on Tuesday announced it would donate a computer software package that includes advanced software-writing and Web-building technology to every public high school and college in the state.

 

The donation is worth roughly $800 per high school student and $2,400 per college student, according to Microsoft New England general manager Ted MacLean. It could be worth as much as $30 million, depending on participation of the state's 300,000 high school students and 125,000 college students.
