TechEd 2008 North America
Tom S just reminded me that things are already happening for TechEd 2008 in Orlando, Florida. I just registered for the IT pro and developer weeks.

Look at this fancy marketing banner:

Now are you going?
If so, here is a bonus: we will have a test center at the event, for both weeks, with $50 exams offered by Microsoft Learning/Prometric...
- All the Dynamics and MCP exams you normally can take at Prometric will be available on site.
- The test center is part of the conference hall, so you just have to find time to sit your exam while you're there. Will be open on some evenings too, and at least part of the in-between weekend but I'm not sure about hours and days yet...
- We might have some SQL Server 2008 beta exams running then
- $50 an exam is a very good deal (usual price is $125US)
- There will be trainers on hand and a study hall for last minute brushing up - but pick an exam now so you can study in advance...
After you register for TechEd you have access to TechEd Connect. I signed up and started a discussion group called Get certified at TechEd!
You can tell that I am in marketing, because the group name is a 'compelling call to action' with an exclamation mark. Oh, don't mind me, winning hearts and minds with clever marketing strategies.
You can tell that I am not very good at marketing, because I spelled "certified" wrong in the group name, and then I just left it like that because I thought it was funny.
There is also the Virtual TechEd site that is up all year with snippets from TechEd events worldwide; anyone (attendee or not) can watch the videos, get info, etc. Something you will not find on Virtual TechEd is a picture of Pete Calvert, winning hearts and minds in my skirt at TechEd in Australia.

"We might have some SQL Server 2008 beta exams running then" Hey they're on the radar then, and aiming for beta around June? Hope there's some room on that boat for those of us unable to take a transatlantic flight on a whim for an exam :)Anonymous

Oh dear! I'm so ashamed to be an Aussie. I'm even more ashamed that Peter is a good friend of mine :-) Looking forward to catching up with you in Orlando. Jeff BTW, thanks for the gift and little noteAnonymous
