You are invited to attend a focus group about the MCP site . If you haven't been there recently, it is the password-protected site where you access your certification tools (transcript, cert planner, logos, welcome kit ordering, etc). If you have been there recently, you'll know why we'd like to do a focus group to look at possible improvements <if I were good at emoticons, I would insert a wry, somewhat apologetic little face here>.

WHAT: "In this session we will ask you questions about your expectations and experiences with the MCP secure site. Whether you use the site frequently or not at all we value your opinion." The session leaders are people who do this all the time, they will be nice to you and ask questions. I will drop in every once in a while and yell contemptuously at you, which will make you all the more receptive to the sympathetic session leader. Marketing! It's like police interrogation. And also very much like Magnum PI.

WHO: Microsoft Certified Professionals - if you've been to the MCP site once or many times, you're welcome to attend.

  • Proficient in English
  • Anywhere in the world
  • MCTs: this will be about the MCP section of the site. We're not talking about any content or tools locked to MCTs. So you'll have to zip it and focus only on MCP. Hey! Zip it! ZIP! IT! ZIPIT!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Please contact valongac at Microsoft if you are interested. Let us know if you are an MCP or MCT, and which session (1,2, or 3) you're able to attend. Someone will respond to confirm your attendance and provide details.

    Trika, You of all people should know that telling MCTs to zipit is like hearding cats - it's nearly impossible.  See, I'm whining already and the session didn't even start!  :-) -Rach MCT

    On Session 1, I think that instead of "10 – 12 AM PST", you probably meant "10AM-12PM PST"... Noon is 12PM, midnight is 12AM. So 10AM-12AM would be 14 hours long. :-)

    Alice, I'm guessing they meant 10pm to 12am given that the session is targeted for a Western Europe audience.

    @Rob : If you click the link behind it then you can see that the session will start at 19:00 (7pm) CET, so it's 10am - 12 PM. If it's 10pm till 12am the session will be from 7am - 9am in Europe :)

    "I will drop in every once in a while and yell contemptuously at you..." This is only okay if you're wearing a Hawaiian shirt, sunglasses, and driving a red sports car... Otherwise, you need to sneer at us in a condescending manner

    Hey, Rachel. ZIP IT ALREADY!!!! All, yes 10 AM to 12 PM. JTB, I have no problem combining all to great effect (affect?!):  sneering yelling, and wearing hawaiian shirt.

    The first session is less than a day away... When will people receive replies to let them know they were selected and how to attend? (Or have they already sent notices and I just wasn't chosen? ;-) )
