TF50309 Error on Web Part while browsing Team Portal

While browsing Team project portal you might get the following error:

TF50309: The following account does not have sufficient permissions to complete the operation: Domain/MOSSServiceAccount. The following permissions are needed to perform this operation: View collection-Level information

Reason for the Error:

We may face this issue if MOSSServiceAccount is not be a member of ‘SharePoint Web Application Services group’

Steps to fix:

· Launch Team Foundation Server Administration Console

· Select Team Project Collections

· Select the Name of the Collection, on which you are facing the issue

· Select Administer Security

· Make sure that DomainName\MOSSServiceAccount is part of [Team Foundation server]\SharePoint Web Application Services group
