The following Sysinternals utility has been updated:

  • BgInfo v4.10: BgInfo has been updated to correctly reports version of IE 7, remove extraneous network adapter info that appears under Vista, and improve text readability when overlaying on a background image.

    Hey -- Thanks again for your work! I notice the "Location" dialog says that the Windows (%SystemRoot%) directory is the "normal" directory for saving the bitmap. I can see some special circumstances when one might want to, but I'd expect the "normal" directory to be the user's application data directory, even (or especially) for an Administrator.

    Thank's for update! BTW.... Trying to add GPO in my domain for servers. Set it in "User configuration - Windows settings - Scripts - Logon". Copied bginfo.exe and config.bgi in GP created folder. In "Script name" filed selected bginfo.exe and in "Script parameters" write "config.bgi /timer:0". But - :(....... Could someone comment this?

    Congratulations on a great product. I'm trying to find info on the database function. I haven't found anyway the min SQL permissions the trusted or sql user requires to "record only most recent run ..." into the sql database. Any notes on this?
