PC Pro Magazine Reviews the HP StoreEasy 1430

Hi Folks,

I really do love product reviews for Windows Storage Server solutions! Here is a new article from Dave Mitchell from PC Pro magazine. You might remember that I blogged earlier in the year about HP StoreEasy appliances and gateways and how HP calls them:

“a single, consolidated platform that delivers efficient, secure, and highly available application and file storage.”

HP has great momentum with the new StoreEasy line and this new review posted on the StoreEasy 1430 shows how these cost-effective storage solutions can “simplify network storage for SMBs”, Dave goes on to say it has an “elegant deployment” process and “excellent performance”.

The HP StoreEasy 1430 is a Windows Storage Server 2012 solution from HP that comes in 8TB and 12TB models built using the latest ProLiant DL320e hardware – this is a Windows Server Certified Gen8 server that sports an Intel 2.8 GHz Core i3-3220T CPU. HP pairs this DL320e with a Smart Array P222 PCI Express RAID card featuring 512MB of battery-backed cache and you end up with a powerful storage solution that can serve up simultaneous file and block protocols, de-duplicate your data and keep track of your files using the built-in File Classification Infrastructure.

I couldn’t agree more with Dave’s closing summary:
